The Shrew Review has once again chimed in with its review of the concluding chapter of "Death, Jr." and had this to say:
"And so concludes one of the most delightful miniseries of the year. Whitta and Naifeh have proven a fantastic team, the former's razor-sharp (and never mean spirited) wit being well matched with the latter's endless vocabulary of facial expressions and body posture. The result is a story that is clever both visually and textually. Any future collaborations will be looked for most eagerly."
You can read the full review here.
Meanwhile, there's another positive review over at The Fourth Rail, excerpted here:
"The three-issue Death Jr. miniseries concludes in fine style, with humor, action, a Star Wars reference, a lesson on the meaning of friendship and even a heartwarming ending! Whitta's story is a classic in the "young adventure" vein (think The Goonies, but with undead), and the color artwork by Ted Naifeh looks terrific."
